Nikki & Emma were born and brought up in Northwood and Rickmansworth before leaving the area to pursue their careers. They both returned to  Buckinghamshire / Hertfordshire over twenty years ago and have found themselves living just five minutes from one another in Chorleywood. Working together was an easy decision to make, as they have a shared vision and passion for helping others.

"On graduating from Imperial College, I worked for two specialist companies which designed and produced equipment for the entertainment industry, becoming managing director of the second. When the business was sold to a US company three years ago, it had become internationally recognised as one of the top specialist engineering companies in the world. Outside of work, my husband and I provided respite foster care for Hertfordshire County Council for several years. In my spare time, among other things, I have volunteered for the Samaritans and been on the board of the Watford Palace Theatre and the Association of British Theatre Technicians. When I left full-time employment to have more time at home I decided to become a volunteer mentor for pupils at a local secondary school and have also undertaken work as an exam invigilator. "

"I have known Nikki since she was at school (a number of years ago now!). Several times in the last few years I have needed help, initially following a fall when I broke my arm and most recently following a knee operation. It is great to know there is someone there who can step in to help out during these moments of need, who is utterly reliable and trustworthy and also good company."

Emma McGrath (née Scott)

"On graduating from ArtsEd drama school in London I spent five years as an actor. My work included international touring and two stints in musicals in London’s West End. When I decided to seek pastures new I became an agent for television writers/producers within one of the top entertainment agencies in the world. Whilst raising my two children I continued my agency work but based at home. Alongside the agency I have spent more than ten years working as a Fundraising Officer at The Purcell School for Young Musicians in Bushey. I don't like to sit still for too long so have always been happy to undertake numerous other ad-hoc jobs along the way, including freelance PA, chaperone, school shop manager and many more besides!"

"I met Emma when she arrived as a present for my mum - her oldest friend thought she could do with a bit of a helping hand sorting stuff out!

Emma was fantastic and did indeed save the day helping organise Mum's life. She absolutely understood what was needed. Her kindness, efficiency, and straightforwardness were a godsend.

Anybody would be very lucky to have her in their lives."
